Outline

The Louvre is an art gallery in the centre of Paris, on the north bank of the Seine near the Rue de Rivoli and the Jardin des Tuileries.

Detail

The Louvre Pyramid is an icon of the Louvre and of Paris. It extends above ground where the Louvre itself sits underground. The shot is taken at sunset in spring, where the sun lines up with the Pyramid. There are many other options at this location, including lining up the setting sun with the pyramid..
