Stags in Scotland

The Scottish Highlands are absolutely beautiful no matter when you visit, but the wildlife often steals the show.

This chap was in Glencoe and was stealing all the carrots people had left out for the ducks at the waterside. He was calm and posed quite happily for photos, just like this:

Farther back up the road whilst I was in Coire Dubh I also met one of the far tamer stags - apparently named Callum.

Callum was loitering in the car park of the Torrindon Estate, waiting to make friends and receive delicious treats. In fact, when I opened the side-door of the van he was waiting!

You can see more of Callum in episode 2 of Due north II, now on YouTube:

In this episode there are also highland cows and seals, so it’s been a bit of a good week, wildlife-wise! There’s also a disaster that I had to deal with….
